..Just MS-NOW'N with the.... ...Rachel Maddow and her Show.. and make'n the case that from the first day of his second term, Donald Trump has been engaged in "a concerted and intense targeting of Black Americans," from firings to executive orders and including... www.ms.now/rachel-maddo...

- even with hyper inflation that's too high - 50 years shooting up into the sky - fake hyper inflated money game - idiotic massive stupidity - war is death - evil is as evil does -

Our children's children will still be paying for this mess. I am starting to fear trump will actually bankrupt America. If any one can it will be him. History will tell tales of how the great trump depression was brought on intentionally & illegally by greed and corruption.

What a coincidence, right? What do you think Lardo is doing over in China right now? He’s probably seeing what else they can make like the stinking phones they made, 600,000 people put a $100 deposit down on them, but they’re never going to see one. Or the watches they made for him. 🤡

Makes sense, but every year these “operational cost” estimates jump. Wonder if this is just inflation or if there’s mission creep nobody’s admitting to—seen it happen in Afghanistan and Iraq budgets too.

Honestly, Hurst is just describing reality here. Costs for repair and ops always go up in these situations—look at Ukraine aid last year, same thing. Not sure why people act like this is some conspiracy.

Makes sense, but I’ve noticed these “updated” costs almost always trend upward, never down. Hard not to wonder if the initial estimates are just systematically too low every time.

We give Israel billions every year, and then we pay more tens of billions for a war that Netanyahu got Trump to start? I'm starting to think Trump is not a good deal maker.

I wonder how much of that 200B ended up in Trump et al pocket through investment’s in military supply companies. Don Jr. for sure has his fingers in the honey jar.

They may be a train wreck for the average American but they are next level at corrupting and changing the very power structure that prevents them from grabbing more power without following rules or elections.

So, let me get this strait. It's cost US somewhere between 25 and 200 billion dollars to double the price of gas. And the guy responsible for doing this, simply because he felt like it, is now spending his time designing monuments to himself and rambling on social media about how wonderful he is.

2 billion here, 4 billion there, it adds up. At least Dodge canceled that AIDS program in Africa that was costing millions. I believe that was able to pay for a few tomahawk missiles for a war

Sounds like a job for the boys from doge! If we cut any program that says health, minority, vote, poor, food-insecure, social security, or Medicaid, we could pay for the whole war and still give billionaires full tax amnesty.

EISENHOWER warned.. we are spending 8/10 more any other nation on defense for SHIT and my bet.. we could HALF and better spend and be stronger.. while IRAN WITH LESS is kicking OUR ASS... jfc. in business whole life.. and this is just blow off of cash and corporations do the same gang!! same shit

Hegseth's numbers are pure BS. Trump has depleted US arsenal. Back of the napkin estimate 5,000 missiles have been launched in Iran War. that's 1 to 2 million dollars per missile. That's just missile costs, throw in personnel, logistical support ... plus US pays for Israel's munitions.

This is all so much! And for what? We will end up with a deal that pales next to the one that Obama orchestrated years ago. Money that could’ve been spent on helping Americans. Shameful.

Jesus Effing Christ is turning in his grave ! An astonishing amount for a war created by their own Egos of we can do No you carnt ! Americans are suffering through narcissist egos that should be in glass jars with lids screwed tightly on with a bit of glue Just incase 😉

Why is Jay Hurst giving taxpayers an "estimate"? Those who observe what liar Trump's Pentagon's doing, under the leadership of a reality star who, like liar Trump, has, without a second thought, wasted taxpayers' money in excess of one trillion dollars? Liar Trump's WAR is WASTING taxpayers' money!

9 trillion in assets Borrowing 166 billion a day 42 trillion in debt. Plenty of money for war. Yea, super wealthy people sure know how to handle debt. As long as it’s someone else’s.

funny how they always find billions for war but not for healthcare or housing. wonder how much of that $200b just goes to lockheed martin's stock buybacks...

The utter madness of a self-inflicted wound! But, of course, the poorest US citizens, who did not start this war, will be the ones paying the highest price. In the meantime, the billionaire class is still profiting from the mess they have created. :(

Double that, I don’t trust these MF’ers as far as I could throw a Volkswagen. $400 Billion will be “cheap”. Wanna feel worse? Go look at the projects China can build/modernize for $400 billion. China gets modern canal ports, fast charging EV’s, solar high speed rail… What do we get? 🇺🇸 ⚖️ 🗽

There's quite a difference between 4 billion and 200 billion, for a war no one wanted but the toddler-in-chief. FFS, where is the accountability? Why are members of Congress such spineless, orange-chafed lipped, complicit dumbasses? #time_to_resign

An absolute waste of money that could better be spent on things that actually improve people’s lives, not some dumb geopolitical dick measuring contest where our guy keeps coming up short.

It's costing us a lot more than money. All previous presidents weighed the options, and were smart enough to avoid this quagmire. Disappointing and mortifying, though not surprising at all; I'm just waiting to see what epic f--- up he will come up with next. BTW, release the #EpsteinFiles, let's go!

Let us never forget the lies of omission about the damaged airfields throughout the Gulf, and DofWarCrimes Kegsbreath wasting missiles on non-military targets like girl's schools because pumping up mindless lethality is his "brand."

How much of this is going to this admin's preferred defense contractors, aka the president's kids? And if so, maybe the Congress could verify there's no clause in the terms saying no refunds if product never delivered.

At the hearing, they said they're unable to estimate repair & reconstruction costs of the damages at our military bases. We have Project Engineers at NAVFAC & Army Corps of Engineers who develop construction Govt Estimates for a living. They survey the damages, do market research by contacting

contractors & equipment manufacturers, look at historical pricing of labor & material costs for renovations at that geographical area, etc. A Govt Estimate is something we routinely obtain frm Govt Engr or contractor Architect/Engr. It appears they don't want extent and value of damages to be known.

Hmm I wonder if Jay Powell is aware of this thing about estimates for building expense increases “because of updated repair and replacement of equipment cost and also just general operational cost.” May be Hegseth and Hurst should be brought up on fraud charges too DOJ?
