Well, not the way I was planning to start my first holiday sales season in years. At least there's enough little pieces I can make a start. #pottersofbluesky #kilnfail #pottery #mishaps #kilnsgonewrong

I'll definitely have to check it out! She's an old kiln, just three knobs for Lo, Med and High so it's been a process trying to figure out how to manually run everything without a program.

I had an old kiln like yours and found a program for it. It worked well and I may have it in case you want to check. It’s an old Paragon and I fired to cone 6 without problems (3 knobs, low, medium high). Let me know

That would be great! Mine is a Skutt 231X bisque seems to be going okay, and my first glaze fire worked out for the most part, I'm going to paper test the elements again, I replaced a few but it's possible the others are out now too. I'm also firing to 6

Found it! Let me know if you can understand. First line tells you what needs to be done when you start and after one hour for each step. Ex: you start with lid vented, bottom peephole in (I had 3), bottom switch on low and top switch on low; 2nd hour: you change bottom switch to medium…etc

Oh that's wonderful! Thank you so much!!! Interesting that the peeps are put in progressively too, I've been doing something similar with the stepped temperature increase, but I put all peeps in from the start.
