The Florida GOP should know news outlets cannot be punished for publishing information from whistleblowers. The Supreme Court case that says it’s not the job of journalists to maintain the government’s confidences literally has Florida in the name. Our statement:

The Supreme Court already settled this and the case literally has Florida in the name. Publishing truthful information from whistleblowers is protected. Full stop.

The case has Florida in the name and the state keeps relearning it anyway. Publishing lawfully obtained information is protected. Taxpayers fund the losing side of that lesson every time.
