Coworker's neighbor abandoned their cat for a dumb reason (cat pooped on the floor after a major surgery). But hes fixed and has his shots so were gonna try and rescue him with our coworker. Unfortunately this neighbor doesnt want to help us. She says she feels guilty but clearly not enough.

More context. He had one small, enclosed litter box. We tried to push her to buy a larger open box before she dumped him. She decided that a 20 minute drive down a busy strip of road would be easier for her. Makes me fucking sick.

The cat is only a little over a year old. She got him at 8-9 weeks. And yet shes mad at him for pooping? We're gonna try and rescue him shes just refusing to help. She wont even give us her pics. Our coworker knows what the cat looks like but doesnt have pics. The whole thing is frustrating.

Our coworker has been very nice helping reach out with us. Shes how we're gonna confirm we have the right cat. This is a cat who has never been outdoors prior to this.

The surgery was not too much. Everything was paid for. The cat only started pooping because stress. We found out he got abandoned because she told our coworker about the pooping and our coworker asked me and my partner for advice. We gave some tips. Our coworker went to pass them on...

But by then the cat was abandoned. Her neighbor confessed that she "couldn't wait" because the "pooping was too much" (it had only been a few days of it.) It took us 2 days to get this lady to give us an address. We found the number for the private property and let the person know.
