The Hamilton County Schools board in TN was warned that putting the Ten Commandments in every school could trigger a costly lawsuit. A majority voted for it anyway. They knew the risk. They chose indoctrination. Now students may pay the price. www.friendlyatheist.com/p/a-tennesse...

Nothing says "my faith is unshakable and absolute" quite like demanding it be mandated for the entire populace, in case OTHERS not subscribing to it costs my chances of getting into the afterlife" .. /S 😏

Gee, maybe the Hamilton County School board can set an example of personal responsibility and pay for any legal fees out of their own pocket. You can't put a price on religious freedom—they'd be glad to pay!

how the ten commandments affect the average school day: 1. irrelevant, violates 1st amdt 2. irrelevant, universally ignored 3. irrelevant, violates 1st amdt 4. irrelevant, violates 1st amdt 5. irrelevant 6. there’s a law 7. irrelevant 8. there’s a law 9. ok 10. irrelevant so…don’t lie got it👌

It really sucks that they get to use tax dollars to play their games. If we could find a way to make them personally responsible for the costs of defending this bullshit we'd have a lot less of this bullshit.

Hamilton County is full to the brim of Adventists. If people want the 10 commandments in schools, they can go those schools. They've got options beyond what at this point has to be intentionally costing public schools money on stupid lawsuits.
