If the goal is avoiding, "ideology," religion is the first thing that needs to be removed from the classroom. Science isn't an ideology. It's a method for determining facts based upon evidence.

You will find very few Floridians who truly, genuinely think there is no climate change. There are many in denial or who lie for political reasons but everyone knows its not what it was even a decade ago. When I was a child, we had an actual winter season. Now, needing long sleeves is a novelty.

Seems like he's more interested in avoiding "reality" rather than "ideology", considering that anthropogenic climate change and evolution are backed by evidence while the "alternative" viewpoints are based on fairy tales and active, politically motivated denial.

The people that claim to be sharing their god's perfect message know that they have to weaken every other message in order for theirs to appear reasonable. They do love making their god and its message look weak and ridiculous.
