📢 Back from @gamescomdev.bsky.social heartfelt post alert — on hope and resistance. It's always a unique pleasure to meet our fellow human translators, receive their support and give them ours, hear how important what we fight for is and to realize that not everything is lost.

We felt like a lot of people have been growing an understanding and appreciation for the work we do and are willing to support us in that work. As bleak as the industry may be as a whole, don't give into the doomsaying. 𝗙𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲'𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿.

We also couldn't go without thanking the @igda.org (LocSIG) and @oreli.bsky.social, Julia Gstoettner, Alexis Biro & @florianxl8.bsky.social. You're the best! And to the hundred people who came to the localization dinner: Thank you for actively helping our beautiful profession stay alive🤍
