Liberals like to throw out accusations of nihilism when you refuse to accept their dogma I do believe better things are possible I just won't accept that doing the same things that won't yield better things now or in the past will magically do so because they say so

I have said it before; solutions require recognition of the problem and the causes of it It's what I did for a living for a decade and a half: find things that are wrong, bring attention to them, have people assess it, and fix the issue discovered No problem was fixed by simply ignoring it

In fact, invariably, choosing ignorance made problems worse, more expensive, more time consuming, and in a few cases, led to the complete collapse of companies All so people could continue on, until they couldn't because the thing they left festering was insurmountable And they never learn from it

So no, it is not the disbelief of meaning in life one has when they see repeated failures lead to repeated failures The depression comes from knowing that doing something radical could be good, could be bad, but we won't try because we are scared of change either way I'm tired of seeing it

I just don't think Americans have it in them to do hard things I'd like to be proven wrong, but from what I have seen from traveling this land for over 20 years, you are some of the weakest willed people I have ever met Exceptions exist but they are severely outnumbered
