Built a soil moisture monitor with my son. Works at school and at home. Pi Zero 2 W + LM393 + Elixir/Nerves + LiveView: tracks moisture, sends “water me” push alerts, and serves a real-time local dashboard. Runs fully on the Pi. Open source: github.com/petros/spm #MyElixirStatus

Yes. I think the hardware is overkill for that app anyway. There are so many ways to go about it.
