It's a variation of the same reason why I don't want to work for an IT consultancy anymore. I want them to have a clear goal. If all they have to offer is to talk about methods, be it programming languages or tools, which AI is one of, I'll pass. Without that focus they'd flail.

Here's my rule of thumb for which AI technologies I believe will survive the test of time and which ones I believe will fizzle out as fads: If you have to use the words "AI", "LLM", "intelligent", "agentic" or something similar to name the feature or explain the value then it's a fad
