Previously, I wrote a whole blog post on Claude Code hooks to address a small portion of the problems Claude had with running pwsh commands. Excited to see this!

Claude Code now supports #PowerShell which means you don't need to run git bash! code.claude.com/docs/en/tool...

pwsh on Claude Code was such a specific pain. half the errors were just path separators and the other half were cmdlet aliases that don't exist on core. hooks feel like the right layer for that

I wonder how much of my token usage went to all the little corrective statements I had to use.

pwsh edge cases are brutal. Claude's execution model works well for most scenarios, but the subprocess abstraction breaks down with PowerShell's expression language. Your hooks approach is solid: the alternative is shipping a full DSL translator. What tripped you up most?

Now use your super power of influence to have them take advantage of powershells native formatting pls and thx 🙏🏾
