Found this gem my friends made of me when I was 20 years old, clowning how much I loved Robert Vieira's SQL Server books. Those Wrox books were the first that spoke to the audience like coworkers and not like robots ala Addison-Wesley. Now I love @manning.com, which is casual but accurate.

I had the Viera books for 7 and 2000.

Yesssss! Did you also have SQL Server 2008 Administration in Action by Rod Colledge? That was my other favorite book later on. I wrote to him and asked if he'd be writing any other books and he said no, writing books is impossibly hard. Which is true. Especially ones of the caliber he wrote.

No, but I used to mock the lack of diversity of Wrox authors by photoshopping my own books written by people of color.

DQ Slime spotted, day made. ☺️

I loooooove DQ! Nice to meet a fellow fan. I am working on rebuilding my other favorite game, Infocom's Wishbringer and my first prompt was "making this text based game like Dragon Quest" then evolved it a bit. It's my side project when my other projects are running long prompts 😊

Haha, that shouldn't be so hard, but I love the triple SQL / DQ / Infocom nerdcrossing of streams. ☺️ I will make sure to check your game project out! Going to use dbatools to migrate a cluster estate away from SQL 2016 soon, too. Thanks for that gem, too.
