Updated to macOS 27. The visual config I find bearable (in dark mode), in System Settings: Appearance > Liquid Glass: slider all the way to the right (less transparency, more contrast) Accessibility > Display: Show borders on, Differentiate without color on.

Other accessibility options that can help are “Increase contrast” and “Reduce transparency”, but they’re a bit more extreme.

I like: - Sidebars look okay again, none of that wasteful double border/padding look. - Window corners not being all over the place. Dislike: - Traffic light buttons look like ass, they’re distracting when they should get out of the way.
