PSA: Just because a competitive authoritarian regime was defeated at the ballot box and peacefully conceded doesn't mean it wasn't a competitive authoritarian regime.

In fact, this is the hallmark of competitive authoritarian regimes: elections still exist, but they are unfair (skewed media landscape, regime pressure, etc.), while there is also distrust and anxiety over whether the regime will accept defeat.
