Pushing Daisies MDZS AU.. That's my small thought this morning. WN dies and WWX's touch brings him back to life, but they can never touch skin on skin again. Then, WWX's ability leaks out to Gusu. LWJ is a homicide detective and he uses WWX's touch to solve crimes etc etc etc

For an added drama, during one case LWJ gets killed. WWX revives him but then they can't kiss or hug which sucks bc LWJ has Feelings and WWX is unaware but we all know he feels the same. He's just... upset LWJ killed. Then they have to chase after a serial killer, the one who killed LWJ AND WN!

WWX just wants to go back to his life of cottagecore bliss, making jams and selling homemade crafts. The longer he's on the cases, the more tired and drawn he's becoming, resurrecting the dead even if just for their witness statements is draining him. LWJ worries, as does WN. For good reason.

Every use of his power is making him grow more connected to the dead. He isn't dying, per say, but he is changing. WQ notices the change in his skin pallor, the redness of his irises, the slowing of his pulse. She tells WWX he needs to stop. But WWX wants justice for LWJ and WN and every other

victim he's met along the way. He says he'll stop when they catch the killer. That once he's solved this case, he'll ask to be removed as a consultant. WQ worries. Both her, WN and LWJ are very aware of WWX's changing body and behaviour. He pauses and seemingly listens to something no one else can

hear, but when confronted he simply shrugs it off. They're so close to discovering the killer's whereabouts, and potentially catching him before he can kill again. In the end, it's Xue Yang. Funded by the local governor who used him to get rid of anyone making his political career more difficult.

still helps LWJ arrest XY. Afterwards, he admits he's very tired. He gets home to his little farm, climbs into bed and sleeps. And sleeps. And sleeps. His skin grows cold. His breathing slows. His heart beat drops. It does not stop, but it is unnaturally slow. After a week of not answering calls

or texts, and not showing up at the police station for debriefing, WQ, WN and LWJ end up breaking into the farm cottage. Outside the chickens are furious and hungry, so WN goes to find feed for them and check up on everything else. WQ marches straight upstairs, LWJ close behind. They discover WWX

and are horrified. They cannot wake him, he doesn't even react when WQ uses the tests to check for pain responses. He simply breathes lightly every now and then, and remains unconscious. Aaaaand that's all I got. Does WWX wake up? Does he become undead? Does he just end up dying? What happened to
