The Catholic Church? Of course not. After all, senior Catholic Church officials hosted a reception for Hitler’s 50th birthday, and German bishops sent him annual birthday greetings. Perhaps history will one day reveal that they’ve been doing similar for Trump, too.

In need of something hopeful this morning, I am going to propose that this happening GIVEN that there is public regret is BETTER in our crazy times. I recently sat behind a trump-supporting almost-nun at a funeral. Had the Bishops refused, she’d never known, perhaps this way, she will stop and 🤔.
