the worst part of being involved in an extremely idiotic and brainless controversy is that all the smart people stay out of it and say nothing. it just lets the vocal minority spread more and more hate because nobody wants to be the one to step up and tell them they're a bunch of morons

a really friendly streamer reacted to one of my vids and i had to endure this soul crushing exchange willing to bet this person probably just saw other people echoing "colon bad" unaware that it's a very small few trolls purposely dragging it to spread as much hate as possible

This behvaiour is so awful yet not at all surprising. These folks live in an ecosystem where they want to "avoid controversy" at all costs to the point where it becomes an instinctual survival response to socially survive over actual critical thinking. It causes real harm & it's contagious too!

GD modchat got leaked which exposed some of them being p3dos. Colon made a few tweets and jokes about it on twitter before realizing that the situation ended up being a little bit more serious than he realized and apologized. This was back in January so idk why people are still bringing it up now.
