We see, and we hear the response to the draft conversion practice Bill. We know there are loopholes that need to be closed, and we welcome the insight and critique. GI is a trans community, and we would never support a bill that puts trans people at risk or allows conversion practices to continue.

Today's legislation is a first draft, not the final text. It's our job now to make sure it becomes a robust, effective, and inclusive ban. We know that people are hurting, and we're asking for your grace and patience while we work with community and legal experts to find the best path forward.

We have campaigned for a fully-inclusive ban for six years, and we will keep pushing until this legislation is fit for purpose: no loopholes, no delays, no excuse for abuse.
