In theory this nightmare could end today:

In 2001 Jim Jeffords, a Republican from Vermont, switched parties, became an independent & caucused w/the Democrats because he would not be complicit in the lies & false “evidence” Bush & the GOP used to declare war on Iraq after the 911 terrorist attacks. It CAN and HAS been done & COULD be again!

Yes—I was there. The LIES, falsehoods, & extremist hawkishness of the Bush regime & the GOP at that time started immediately after 9/11/01. Jeffords was uncomfortable w/the policies in the GOP, which held majority partisan power in Congress. So in 2001 he chose honest Independence & his COUNTRY!

What always bothered me about Bush, is why did he secretly allow a bunch of Saudi nationals to fly out of the country when all planes were grounded after 9/11, something stinks to high heaven with the Bush family

Yes. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes in the U.S. government that is certainly not transparent. Some of it would be reassuring & warm the hearts of our fellow citizens; some of it would make it so they never sleep at night.
