Setting up a mail client and it's asking for port 465 or 587? RFC 8314 has preferred 465 for mail submission since 2018, because the connection's encrypted from the very first byte.

587 with STARTTLS works too. The RFC rates the two as equally secure when both ends are set to require encryption, so that's the setting worth checking. www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc8314
