Just cancel PS+. It's simple. It's easy. It wont' even affect you until your sub runs out and even when it does I'm certain you can get by without it. The worst part is Sony doesn't let you back up saves locally anymore, so you'll have to DL all your cloud saves & hope your console doesn't die.

It sucks because I lose my way to play online with my friends on games like Monster Hunter Wilds, a game my friend group very much loves. Can't play it on PC & can't afford a new PC so I guess I'll just be fucked!

Its the only thing keeping me conflicted on cancelling it myself before it renews in Jan. If there were alternative methods, it'd be done in a heartbeat.

Kind of a half measure here, but I'd recommend just getting your sub month to month during the times your friend group is actually focused on playing consistently (like when Ascendance comes out), then keeping it off during the downtime.
