We’ve these false starts at least three more times in the last few months. I talked to people on two of those previous trips and learned they were kept shackled the whole time. 75 & 82 hours total. So these folks have likely been shackled for 37 hours so far, and their deportation just started.

🧊✈️ OMNI GLOBAL RENDITIONS ⛓️🌏 😲 After a failed effort on Wednesday resulting in a day-long out-and-back flight from Louisiana to Anchorage, an Omni 767 (tail: N486AX) departs *again* Thursday morning, trafficking chained humans via Alaska & Guam to Southeast Asia 👀

In Feb, it appears to have been bc of a pressurization issue. Dec was also a mechanical issue where it could still fly but couldn’t go over water. In October, the pilot told passengers it was because they had “lost clearance to land in Romania” (which is a regular fuel stop) but I am skeptical.

I think it’s also possible these could happen because of emergency court orders protecting passenger/s onboard, but that is speculation I haven’t been able to confirm.

When ICE does these returns, they have the migrants deplane but keep them shackled in a staging facility next to the tarmac. Talked to a Laotian man who said he and 200 other people, including elderly, slept on the cement floor, waist chains sticking into their sides. Then loaded up again + deported
