Yes, and that’s what blew up Kevin de Leon’s career when he refused to resign. Who knows, he would’ve been running for mayor in this election (if he wasn’t an idiot.)

Just to button this up: Two of them resigned, the one was voted out. The LA city council STILL cut up Raman’s district, but she was reelected with an even wider margin.

CORRECTION: One resigned, one refused to resign and was voted out, and one had already lost reelection before the tape became public and finished the remaining weeks in his term. The fourth person in the convo, a union leader, also resigned.
