I check in only because several friends post pix of their children. I try to get them to switch to Bluesky. I don't post there.

EGADS, posting pics of children is NOT right! Set up a group chat on your messenger. I'm hesitant to post MY kids, and they are both over 50. Always remember, anything posted on the Internet - is FOREVER. There is no definitive way to delete anything.

Instagram is where I get updates from musicians and record labels. It doesn't have much good interactivity, though, in my opinion. I get my info and virtually never post, except in support of an artist, occasionally. It doesn't feel like a place for conversation.

For me it was the Book of Faces. I have kept my IG account, though I don’t post, because people I want to communicate with still contact me there — even though they have my phone number. ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
