They don't read Adam Smith they just talk abt him. Smith used the word 'education' EIGHTY Times in Wealth of Nations he wrote "read, write and ACCOUNT" FIVE times. Factories produce stuff more complicated than pins these days and economists do not talk about the Depreciation. However Marx did! 🖕

If I were a scholar of his work I'd have a go at writing it.

Seems to ignore or discount a lot of what Adam Smith said. Basically, for capitalism to work, you have to prevent all exploitation: "[The duty of government is] that of protecting, as far as possible, every member of the society from the injustice or oppression of every other member of it.”

Excellent thank you, but two little points: Understanding isnt enough. Philosophers have only interpreted the world in various ways; the point, however, is to change it, Marx was interested in human beings changing the world, & to do that you cannot focus on one human being! Drop the term Marxism.
