Follow @indivisible.org and @workingfamilies.org and see what their local affiliates are doing in your area. Probably really cool stuff! Do an internet search for "mutual aid" or "free store" or "community fridge" with your town's name and you'll find some folks who are doing cool stuff!
Lot of the people on this starter pack share good action items and other info pretty often. Check 'em out! go.bsky.app/6DoVMhY
Looking for a demonstration? Always something going on. If you're in NYC and care about Gaza, Israelis for Peace hold a vigil every single Sunday at 5 pm in Union Square. bsky.app/profile/greg...
I went to the Israelis for Peace demonstration at Union Square in NYC this afternoon. Deeply solemn and moving. They're there every Sunday at 5 pm. Today they sat in silence with empty pots and photographs of children from Gaza.
Similar to @asclepias6b.bsky.social, I bought a bunch of used books about Harriet Tubman, the Underground Railroad, women scientists, Native American history, so-called banned books, etc. to put in Little Free Libraries. (I don't have kids to give them to)
