All of these senators pushing "reforms" need to explain how they will enforce them given the fact that ICE is a lawless band of Klansmen that breaks the law constantly.

An extraordinary document. Read it. “Attached to this order is an appendix that identifies 96 court orders that ICE has violated in 74 cases. … ICE has likely violated more court orders in January 2026 than some federal agencies have violated in their entire existence.”

So, let me give my pitch. First, I'll say that I am in the "demand concessions, but I don't think we can abolish ICE right now" camp. I do think the Democrats are asking too little, but I'll lay out what I think my ten demands are. Then, I'll try and defend why some "reforms" might be helpful

Demands should be: 1. ICE Out of Minneapolis/MN (restrict by statute # of agents in city and state to 2024 staffing levels through 2029) 2. Kristi Noem resigns 3. Greg Bovino resigns 4. No masks for federal agents (w/ misdemeanor criminal penalties for violators) 5. Mandatory IDs on uniforms

So, something like "make it illegal for federal agents to wear masks" seems pointless at first, right? Because who's going to enforce that, DOJ? They'll just totally ignore it, so what's the point of passing it? The answer is state mask bans.

CA has made it against state law for federal agents to wear masks. Washington state just passed a similar law through the state senate, and it'll move through the state house next week. But these laws are on shaky ground, with the constitution.

If feds can say "we need to be masked as part of our federal police" work, those state laws will have a hard time applying to the feds. But if federal law says they can't wear masks, then they can't say "we need masks as part of our federal police work". The state can point to the law and say "no"
