If you're not specifically researching Nazis and hate movements, you really need to stop posting on X. In particular, no D politician or progressive group should be on X now. Get the hell off. You endanger the people who come to see your posts there AND you expose yourself to Nazi propaganda.

if you spend time on X, for example, you might end up thinking it's normal and cool to go onto a podcast with "Valhalla" in its title that's hosted by someone who wears and sells "America First" t-shirts

X normalizes Nazi and white supremacist words, memes, language, and ideas. If you're noodling around on that site, that propaganda is worming its way into your brain. That turns you into a danger to yourself and others. Get the fuck off of X.

Also, if you're posting screenshots from Bluesky onto X, you're putting folks here on the radar of Nazis. Cut that shit out, too.

All of this very much applies to journalists. If you're noodling around on X, you're being told that racists should be heard out and platformed. You're absorbing the message that they are COLLEAGUES who deserve RESPECT. This is an ethical failure and makes you dangerous to vulnerable people.
