Microsoft deactivated my supposedly lifetime Office 2016 installation. Why should I trust they’ll adhere to other promises?

Huh, mine from 2019 still works. Dunno if that means there's a way to get yours back or if my days are numbered, as I will not be purchasing the current infected version and there's no way in hell I am leasing this software. Looks like another attempt at coping with LibreOffice may be in my future?

That site says "All of your Office 2021 apps may continue to function" after they stop supporting it. Emphasis on "MAY." As I recall and this reddit user notes, the Microsoft website used to say "WILL." www.reddit.com/r/microsofto...
