This is horrifying.

The first genuinely honest ad for generative AI I've ever seen, from Microsoft / CoPilot A mediocre white guy sees his non-white colleague getting praised for good work, he asks AI to *literally copy it*, and then he gets all the praise instead: www.ispot.tv/ad/SoDi/micr...

What in the actual living fuck was that? Who is their target audience? Is there a target audience (I shudder to imagine)? Do the white bros hang around and congratulate each other on their spreadsheets? Is their work competitive spreadsheet making?

This isn't even fun to dunk on or anything. It's just pure vicious garbage racist resentful fraud culture sewage. Consumer-facing "A.i." is trash.

when i say "A.i." is racist, it's not just that it uncritically excretes racist outputs derived from its racist inputs; it's also made and sold by technofascists to further white supremacist agendas. that's this ad in a nutshell.

Okay, I'm glad to know we're all seeing the same ad. This thing has been in every Hulu and Peacock ad break and I didn't know if I had tapped into some "hey, you're a white guy so you must be okay with this" feed by accident.

I'm in the UK and they showed it during the ad breaks in the Bake-Off on Tuesday (one of the most watched shows over here)... so they're pushing this trash everywhere.
