I've been saying it for years, though the democratic party has leaned somewhat to the left, they are complicit in the present trend of turning the US inward by supporting isolationist policies that will inevitably reinforce their move toward all out fascism.

I agree 100 percent. Furthermore, I really don’t know what the point of the trip was or why Canadian officialdom wasted their valuable time “negotiating.” These folks have zero authority (or influence) to negotiate a trade pact, and Trump had no legal grounds to levy the tariffs in the first place.

Carney just needs to do what he’s already doing to decouple Canada from the United States, only faster. And the only “negotiating” that needs to be done with America is to inform Trump there already is a treaty in place, and that he demands we live up to it. Then he needs to cut off the power.

Then slap a 50 percent export surcharge on the oil, and buy off Alberta with part of the proceeds. Then threaten to dismantle NORAD and kick U.S. troops out of Canada. I agree with David Frum that the most effective tactic against Trump is to be even more extreme and unpredictable. TACO.

Sen Wyden is from OR, a lumber producing state, he has long criticized the softwood lumber imports from CA. He received campaign donations from the US Forestry lobbies and individual forestry companies. He is not a Democratic Party Friend of Canada.

They miss the money and telling us what to do with laws? He stuff that, not a voter so stop trying to interfere in our country! Or hey tell the Felon in Charge to start passing laws to make abortions legal and free! How about that?
