I have lived literally 3 streets from the Huntingdon border for almost 45 yrs. Sumas was part of my regular routine for years especially when it was a thriving little town pre 2010-ish. I have not crossed the border since February 2020 because I knew how dangerous the US was to us back then even.

It took a while, but I do think Canadians have come to the conclusion the USA is just a tourist trap with no real values that are good for the world. Stay home, talk to your neighbor from a different land, cook for them and let them cook for you.🍻🇨🇦

The common theme you see in videos like these is that the US doesn't really miss tourists, they just miss the money. Never in these stories do you hear about them missing the people, missing the stories, missing the human connection. They're just whining about the lack of money.

That photo looks like early fall, considering the colouration of the trees. Like many Canadians, I won't see the US the same again. The amount of hatred, bigotry, sexism... even after the current GOP is gone, the MAGA movement will remain a threat. Makes the US a continual threat in years to come.

After the publication of that Trump national security document with plans for the US to make Canada a vassel state, the Canadian boycott is about to get a lot more intense.
