I recommend starting your day by parkouring through your unfinished attic space to measure things while your contractor texts you saying "please do not fall through the ceiling." Better than CrossFit. I am very awake now

At one point I had a foot on a beam and a foot on a 2x4 thinking "so if you take away the insulation, a ceiling is just an inch of drywall?! damn"

this was when I was in high school, and I was actually more worried about how my parents were going to react (not due to my potentially being hurt, but due to the hole in the ceiling) so that’s a fun and good extra wrinkle!

I mean, most of your walls are just drywall on both sides and some aluminum or wooden studs 18" apart for the most part.
