No offense, but man: What the hell ever happened to just heating water, then adding that hot water to grown up beans, steep, pour into cup, drink? (Here I'm vaguely describing a French Press method)

An experiment I recommend (maybe for a Sunday morning): * get good coffe in a style you like (e.g., light roast Ethiopian) * find suitably appealing music for your Sunday morning, and play it * select 3 (ideally), or any number N>1 coffee preparation methods (e.g., French press, pour over, siphon)

* contemplate the complexity, randomness, and luck in the Universe that’s brought you to this lovely Sunday morning * grind the coffee using a burr grinder to an appropriate coarseness level for each method * what is your multiverse self up to, you wonder? * fill up N mugs with hot water

* what’s the one thing you’re happiest, or most excited about, today? (besides coffee) * prepare the coffee, in parallel, with each method * deep exhalation. repeat. * enjoy the coffee 3 (or N) ways. pay close attention to differences in look, smell, and especially taste between the brews. ☕️
