#NuGet came out in 2010 and we still can't install or update multiple packages at the same time with it. By contrast #NPM came out the same year and has supported this for as long as I can remember. Just one of the many thing I think of when a #dotnet dev tries to make fun of the JS ecosystem.

There's no equivalent of `npm install lib1 lib2 @types/lib1` to install multiple packages at the same time and handle picking the right versions of everything. This also leads into package lock territory, which doesn't behave as I expected it to either.

I see, thanks for explaining. The only times I ever wanted to add multiple packages I added them into my csproj directly then hit save. I guess the CLI has been slow to progress, but it is happening now - and maybe someone like you will be annoyed enough to add that feature?

oh wow interesting! i've never had a need for this. I'm so simple :( "let me see here .. lets .. add ... this package". ok, nice! now what else -or- copy/paste directly into csproj, multiple packages in one go and save (like @mistermagoo.bsky.social said, above)
