The Developer Experience platform and the AI Experience platform are the same platform. If you deferred building it for your people, you must now build it for your machines - and your people will benefit too #slashnew26

This is the useful framing. Agent experience is mostly developer experience with less tolerance for ambiguity: clear setup, deterministic tests, explicit contracts, good errors, observable workflows. Humans benefit from the same work.

Yes. The funny part is that making systems usable for agents usually forces teams to fix the same DX gaps humans have been tolerating: unclear setup, hidden state, weak docs, and brittle deploy paths.

The hard truth We should have built these platforms to support our people. We often didn't. We treated it as deferrable. We relied on the invisible effort of experienced engineers to absorb the friction of inconsistent environments. We told ourselves we'd get to it.

Now we are in the AI era. And the deferral has reached its limit. GenAI will not work in the long run without strict, fully enforced guardrails. Prompts are not enough. Coding guidelines in an AGENT.md are not enough. 2/3

Agreed. AGENT.md is useful, but it is documentation, not enforcement. The real guardrails are tests, permissions, scoped credentials, CI policy, and review workflows that make unsafe paths hard.

The paved road is not optional anymore. The robots need it. And so do your people. AI will scale whatever you have - including the mess. Build the road before you let the robots drive. 3/3 #slashnew26

I already know which integrations will clog first. The systems meant for me often still paste up wallpaper when all I require is the bare copper wire.
