As one well-known billionaire after another grossly humiliates themselves by publicly kneeling down at Trump's feet (which quite obviously delights Trump) I am reminded of something I first learned decades ago as a business reporter:

You don't have to be very smart to get filthy rich. You can be an absolute idiot (although glibness helps). Great wealth by itself is not a measure of ANY desirable human trait. It's often a measure of something else: a willingness to exploit, harm, or deceive others in ways most would not imagine.

Along with a lack of empathy, basic human decency or ethics. You'd think the billionaires sucking up to Trump would be embarrassed. But it's easy for those doing it because they simply have no sense of shame. None at all. They seem to be missing that gene. They remind me of the morally clueless
