anyway. obviously not great news but watching gamers act like taking saudi money is some instant evil that permanently taints you forever while continuing to happily buy xbox games does make me feel a bit crazy. american genocide is ok we can compartmentalise that

the games industry is a product of a big tech industry that supplies infrastructure for imperialism, and its most successful and profitable works have deep ties to arms manufacturers, and us military propaganda. acting like this is a new betrayal and not just capitalism as normal is like. lol cmon

yeah that’s why it’s a hilarious team up for me like i can’t think of two more divergent approaches to being evil with investment capitalism than american private equity and the saudi PIF

I mean even in the "Saudi money" department nobody seemed to remember that Kojima was a main stage attraction at the big Saudi sportswashing gaming conference when they were getting all hyped up for those new title announcements a few days back
