Q&A time! Don't know much about the budget, CR currently, so last year's numbers. ~$1B in FY25, FY26 is in flux, FY27 pres budget request is $427M.

I will say, the OCE folks are being more forthcoming than GEO was last month.

RAPID grants: any changes? No recent changes, but max amount requestable for RAPID and EAGR did go up recently. Contact the program for more info if you want to submit.

OCE postdoc....no plan to bring it back at this time, but hope to in the future. Postdoc funding through standard proposals us best venue currently.

Can still request funding for workshops....put together white paper first.

How will GEO CORE be distributed among the programs in GEO? Short answer, don't know.

Any changes to supporting grads/postdocs as broader impacts? Importance is design of how ppl will be involved in the project and how it will support their career.

Can still submit fieldwork proposals....just make sure to submit early enough to get on ship sched for seagoing work.

Will OCE be involved in review if DCL on OOI? Yes, have been involved & helped generate the survey ?s. Will be working with ORI to consolidate answers for a panel (?) to review. Apparently got 500 responses!!
