While not the oldest concept to predate the deck, Aurora Warrior, originally called Aurora Knight was the first card I designed back in 2023 when the goal was just to make 12 of these things For it I borrowed a drawing I made in 2020, funny to see how little has changed bsky.app/profile/hrab...

Organ Donor is also a repurposed design, but from a drawing I had done just a few weeks before However, the name and added organ aesthetic did stem from the DJ Shadow song. I wanted to keep these cards fairly reference free but I made some exceptions bsky.app/profile/hrab...

I appreciate the desire to keep things reference free. Of course all things are built on the shoulders of giants. Nonetheless, it is nice to see something that can feel timeless and its own.

Started as a character in another project of mine Light Spectral, but I swapped out for a more oracle looking guy. The visual of a floating head that you can’t get rid of that spouts prophecies that are near indecipherable in their esoteric old English speak amuses me bsky.app/profile/hrab...

The first card I designed that wasn’t a repurposed idea, I originally thought about making the goop green but it being red instead adds some freaky ambiguity to what actually happened here that I like bsky.app/profile/hrab...
