All members of congress should be required to visit ground zero unannounced, in random locations, at varying times, and in some form of disguise. They obviously lack a sense of urgency.

Well, they are not going to stop it because voters didn't care enough to give them the votes needed. Start lobbying GOP and do it relentlessly. ONLY they can add the needed votes. Minority parties aren't magic, and they can't do what you demand without crossover from the majority.
