I've heard others say it and I'm really feeling it too. We should definitely embrace the American flag as part of the resistance to fascism and the authoritarian government. It must stand as a symbol of decency and democracy, not what the GOP is trying to rebrand it as.

No, burn it. Get a better symbol. One that demonstrates that you're willing to abandon that failed country, built on slavery and imperialism, and start over with a better constitution and a commitment to excluding and punishing the people who made this happen.

If we rise up against the imbecile, then maybe that’s what we do to differentiate ourselves from the evil. However, until then, it’s still our country, and our flag. The flag preoccupation here is a bit strange to outsiders but it has a lot of meaning to Americans.
