I've heard others say it and I'm really feeling it too. We should definitely embrace the American flag as part of the resistance to fascism and the authoritarian government. It must stand as a symbol of decency and democracy, not what the GOP is trying to rebrand it as.

Growing up on military bases, the flag was my favorite part of parades. We help the nation in our small hands. When I heard the national anthem, I would stop playing to place my hand on my heart. I miss being proud of my country and its symbols. I sit for the anthem now.
