I think we are running out of time. Planned protests are one thing now we must move towards a sustained mass movement for regime change here otherwise this is going to get even uglier in very short order.

Louisville right wingers will be striking may 1st in Louisville KY. That is Thurby before Oaks and Derby. Yeah, not a good day to strike in Louisville for the average person, if they want that job next week, it's just a busy ass time especially in the Food and Bev industry.

I bet, just not a good enough reason to ditch a major surgery, unless you really really really wanted to ditch it, and I don't think many would agree with your choice to ditch:)

What demands are attached to calls for a general strike in the United States?

From time to time, I hear about people proposing a general strike here in the United States. Among people you have heard from calling for this, what are the strike demands? In other words, what would happen that would result in the strike ending with a declared victory by the strike organizers?

Pretty sure you all know that May 1st is workers' day in Europe and it is a public vacation, right? Hopefully there will be something in front of the US embassy in BRU and I will be able to attend there in support

Based on the formula provided by the US Labor Statistics 2025: On the low side, the average American spends $165/day. If 150 million people participate in a General Strike = $24.75 Billion per day. To put that into perspective: Per Week: $173.25B Per Month: $742.5B It's time to flex our power.

Just divest from all big business. Put the money back in your own community. One day ain't enough. We kicked Target in the shins. Let's be relentless for a sustained period of time. We can do hard things if we are willing. #neverAmazon

I dumped Amazon, was kicked off Instagram - am glad, only shop locally not target or Walmart & will try to use PTO to stay home that day.
