And on his first day in office a Republican President gave pardons to the 1,500 violent convicted criminals who attacked the capital police. And when a Congressional event was held to honor the police who served that day, only one Republican showed up.

The bright spot though, is that quite a few of them have been re-arrested and re-incarcerated on charges for everything from DUIs to child abuse. A few of them were even stupid enough to tell judges "but I've been pardoned!" Thinking it was a forever get out of jail free card.
