Surely it would be a ‘continual’ problem considering there isn’t an endless stream of avians trying to battle their way in?

As this is my alma mater, I feel compelled to step in here. The adjetive "continuous" refers to the problem, not the pigeons themselves, so, provided there aren't any long spells sans pigeon ingress...it's correct in this scenario. (Christ, I need to find a job...)
