In early 2025, an IFPRI-led project equipped 20 women’s shea cooperatives with motorized tricycles, mechanical dehusking machines, and personal protective equipment. 🧵👇

Focus group discussions show that dehusking 80–100 kg of shea nuts now takes about 30 minutes, down from 2–3 days. The time saved can support farming, family responsibilities, and other income-generating activities.
