Weird airline membership model except while I sometimes must fly somewhere as a practical necessity there is no condition that forces me to go to a movie theater. I have a huge TV at home. This is a sinking ship move, running to premium pricing. Theaters are about volume/turns + concessions.

I think this was inevitable once movies regularly got 3 hrs long and sold as spectacle you can only experience on the big screen Nah. We want the movie as part of the evening not living in the theater. This is my one _back in my day old man yelling at clouds_ thing. It did used to be better.

Okay, but the AMC A-list is a subscription program that makes movie going actually affordable if you go more than twice a month. It’s the price of two tickets, and you can see 4 movies per week. I don’t have any problem with them prioritizing subscribers. It’s how they’re staying in business at all.
