42 is a good number. I started coding in 1983. With BASIC mainly, then assembly, Pascal, C and many others. I saw in coding the 8th world wonder. I almost naturally became a dev. And now, I became so bored I’m really considering using dev only for my hobbies, and not for work anymore…

And voilà: I’m now doing most of my code via AI except for niche and hobby topics. Focusing on architecture, with an AI assistant for coding is … really good.

Got so tired of doing the same thing on an on… I thought that coding would be nice for a change after being an architect for so many years. I tried to be a dev again to get back in touch with technique. Didn’t work as expected. Everything has become so dull.

Architect was cool actually. And even cooler now. You have a full virtual dev team at your service to prototype and test rapidly, if you have some experience in project management, it’s even better.
