dianawallis, Miserable birthday is a good idea. 1916-President Wilson issued a presidential proclamation establishing June 14 as Flag Day. 1949- Congress signed it into law. Making the day all about Flag Day and not Trump’s birthday will make the birthday boy miserable.

My thought is a king is a solitary figure and trump is surrounded by his incompetent and corrupt billionaire cabinet as well as frightened and complicit Republican, senators and representatives. Yeah, but are they going to walk back? Often enough, Republicans will say one thing, only for them to do a different thing the next. I would rather take back the House and Senate in 2026 so that we can have Jeffries/Murray in the line of succession after Vance... and impeach Trump/Vance together.

I'm not convinced this is true... while I will agree that Vance and Johnson don't have the cult following like Trump, I don't think we'll be out of the woods given that the GOP would still control Congress and the White House, and far-right extremist policies could still be passed without Trump.

We need to Tiananmen Square that parade. Organize people on each side of the street and when the tanks roll break the barriers and stop them.

And if they're not willing to do that, then we all need to vote them out of office - and not by replacing them with another Republican expecting a different result, we need to replace it with Dems that will stand up to Trump and flipping the seats to blue. This also includes down ballot as well.

Would rather see a protest in force the day before and the day after rather than anything on June 14th. With crowds much greater than the parade. Give him nothing on the 14th.

And we need to send a strong message to those protesting that it's time to consider running for public office, filling precinct chairs, and oh yes - registering to vote. I would love to also see other progressive aligned groups like Moms Demand, Women's March, etc. show up at these protests.
